Franklin and Gasconade County deputies work together to apprehend Rosebud man Tuesday night

On July 27, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office received information from an individual stating they witnessed an assault at the intersection of Springfield Road and Hwy 50 near the Franklin, Gasconade County line.  Vehicles involved in the assault were a red passenger car and black Durango.   Upon arrival of the deputy, the Durango backed up and drove at the deputy nearly striking the patrol car.  The vehicle fled the area.  The deputy observed a female passenger in the vehicle who appeared to be crying.

Hermann Streets Director John Campbell told CNL today that unexpected drainage issues at the Gellert St. work site have delayed asphalt paving into early August.

Motor carrier safety training offered in Rolla Aug. 10

Willow Springs, Mo. -To help commercial motor carriers comply with state and federal laws, the Missouri Department of Transportation offers seminars on commercial vehicle safety regulations.  Locally, a seminar will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 10 at the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) Construction Office located at 204 E. Fourth St., Rolla, Mo.

The classes explain the training, paperwork and other requirements truck drivers and their companies must fulfill to comply with state and federal law.
